Dan and I had fun at Chrissie and James' wedding in Philadelphia a couple of weekends ago. We came down to the city on Saturday to stay the night with Paul and Effie in their new house (amazing!). We met up with Cate, Colin, Jim, and Jenn for great sushi at a place Paul picked - which I think actually was the Philly restaurant that I had sushi in for the very first time when I was a junior in college and living with Dan in the frat house for the summer. I was interning at a foreign policy journal as an editorial assistant, and the receptionist was Japanese and took us to this restaurant, where she ordered up a family-style feast for everyone. I remember it as such an adventurous experience... funny to think back on now that sushi is now even available at the ghetto Chopper around the corner.ANYWAY! The ceremony was at beautiful estate in Philly on a really hot Sunday afternoon, and they had a traditional Korean ceremony later in the day during the reception, with all of its rituals, including a catch-the-dates-in-cloth ceremony that left Chrissie and James with about 20 children. The ceremony ended with Chrissie jumping on James' back - in traditional dress no less!Jenn, Jim, Matt, and Amanda grin and bear it in the oppressive heat

We had to leave early, sadly, since we had to go back to Albany that night for work Monday morning, and seems like we definitely missed some shenanigans. Apparently our friends eventually made a trip to the 7-11, and a picture has surfaced of Chrissie eating taquitos in her white wedding dress... =)
