Dan came home yesterday for the first time in his scrubs and white coat (he usually changes at the hospital), and I couldn't resist taking a picture. He looks so... adorably doctorly! Dan is smack in the middle of his surgery rotation right now, and seems to have adjusted well to getting up at 5 in the morning to do rounds, standing around ORs all day... and starving. Dan hasn't had lunch in weeks, since his surgeries tend to run through. He's lucky to get a granola bar for lunch, which leaves him without food between a quick 7 AM breakfast (if he's lucky) and a usually 8 PM dinner. Poor guy! I'd pass out.
***Also, new books! I finally added my last four reads to the sidebar, including the leading contender for my favorite book of the year (by Claire Messud).
