Here we are--both of us!--at 41 weeks, 4 days. We had another ultrasound today to measure the level of amniotic fluid and got to have another little glimpse at the baby's face. It's a bit distorted from the ultrasound in the picture above, but it's proof that there really is a squashed little boy in there. The ultrasound technician indulged us by lingering on his face for a while, and we got to see him smacking his little lips - he wants to nurse, he just needs to come out first!!
The bottom line is that I basically have until Tuesday (42 weeks) for labor to come spontaneously, and then the midwives will want to induce me. So on my midwives' orders, I am to treat this weekend like my last vacation and eat my weight in ice cream. Well, OK then.
