nichols-dietz wedding!

Dan and I joined my extended family (and our two adopted family members, Cate and Ed*) down in Annapolis, Maryland, for my cousin Carolyn's wedding to Josh. The night before the wedding, we had so much fun out on the town with "the wallet" (aka Dad) who treated everyone to dinner, beer, and ice cream to top it off. Everyone loves Wallie!

It was brutally hot on Saturday, so we were all thankful that the ceremony and reception were indoors. The ceremony was beautiful, and we especially loved the first dances at the reception. Actually we loved all the dancing, especially my cousins' kids, who can get down and disco with the best of them! Carolyn and Josh had a great exit too, running through a sea of bubbles to board
Andante, Rusty and Alison's sailboat.

* We met Catie and Ed at a farm party that Josh and Carolyn threw in the middle of nowhere in West Virginia maybe 3 years ago. The directions were to drive to the end of a dirt road, then open the cow gate, and drive through the cow pasture for a mile or so until you found a creek and an old farmhouse... While we all lived in the DC metro area at the time, we didn't really get to know each other until we moved to Albany at the same time two years ago. Happy coincidence!
