Dan informed me last night that he performed his first physical examination on a standardized patient on Monday. Thanks for keeping me in the loop, Dan! Our marital communication prowess never fails to amaze me! (Never mind that I’ve been begging since he started school to be his practice patient so he can tap my knees, listen to my heart….)
ME (getting over the fact that my hubby passed me over for an elderly woman for his first physical examination, and then waited three days to tell me about it): So, what did you have to do?
DAN: I took her blood pressure, listened to her heart and lungs, and stuck the thingy in her ear.
The “thingy”?? I’m sure you’re going to be a fabulously brilliant doctor some day, Dan, but sounds like you’ve still got a few things to learn…
