1. Second annual cookie party! I really wanted to do this again this year, and Bennett had even more fun now that he's a little older. He had a blast making the cookies with me (and licking the beater), and was literally gasping with excitement when I told him (20 minutes before the party) that we were having the party.
2. Christmas tree cutting with the Greenaways! As has been our annual tradition for the past five or so years, we went and cut down our Christmas tree with Ellen, Hamish, Rowan, and Heath. Santa was at the tree farm, and Bennett was interested but very nervous. He did agree to stand for a picture once he got his candy cane...
3. Decorating the Christmas tree! Bennett was so excited about decorating the house and hanging ornaments on the tree. We drank eggnog and ate popcorn and listened to carols.
4. Family band! The family band has been playing a lot of Christmas carols this month, since Bennett has somehow passively learned all the words through the Pandora children's Christmas station that plays nearly constantly at our house. Dan plays ukelele, while Bennett rocks the piano and Lucy hits the guitar. I sing, badly.
5. Snowman! This was Bennett's first real snowman building, and he was quite proud. Notice the two little arms he stuck in front. Lucy just loves being outside, so she is totally happy to chill in her stroller and watch.
