pregnancy makes me crafty

Photobucket

A little over a month ago, our dear friends Ellen, Hamish, and their son Rowan welcomed a second son, Heath, into the world. We are so thrilled for them, and we can't get enough of the little guy. I may smuggle him home when Ellen isn't looking. To celebrate Heath, I knitted him a little sweater and made him some booties, which ended up being his take-home-from-the-hospital outfit. The orange bits were perfect for his Halloween due date and Nov 1st arrival!

Here’s the sweater and booties set, modeled by our vintage Radio Flyer tricycle, and a link to Heath wearing them.

By the way, I’m in love with this free baby sweater pattern too – it knits up super quick, takes only about one skein, and seems really practical for an infant since you don’t have to pull it over their head (it just snaps in the front). If anyone wants the pattern, just drop me a note and I'll email it - I have it in PDF.

Also, in the last few days before Heath arrived, Ellen and I made him a few onesies - here's my favorite of the ones I made. It's almost time to start making onesies and knitting for our own LJ... we find out LJ's gender a week from tomorrow!!!
