classical music
Does it strike anyone else as odd that the ice cream truck that regularly tours our neighborhood plays classical music? I'm not sure exactly what I think it should be playing, but somehow the Canon in D and Fur Elise don't scream to me "kiddos, come get your frozen treats!" Maybe I just don't understand the child's mind. Or maybe any twinkling song coming down the street heralds frozen treats...
Speaking of classical music, Dan and I are hoping tonight to make our first trip up to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center to have a picnic on the lawn and hear the Philadelphia Orchestra play Gustav Holst's The Planets, which I love. Hopefully he'll make it back from the doctor's office where he's working this month in time to turn around and head back out the door to Saratoga... I think we're both trying to get accustomed to Dan working regular (plus some) office hours.
