healey-hoehne wedding

After Morgan and Ariel’s wedding on Saturday, August 18, we headed down to Park Ridge, NJ, for Jim and Jen’s wedding on Sunday, August 19. Dan has been friends with Jim since their freshman year at UPenn, and now Jim is an actuary working in NJ. Jen is also an actuary. Together, they have a passion for… math. They even gave us fabulous calculator wedding favors!

Anyway, Jim and Jen really spoiled us. The wedding reception included an elaborate cocktail hour with at least two ice sculptures, a raw bar, a sushi bar (we LOVED this), a pasta bar, a whole roast pig wearing sunglasses, the list goes on. We barely had room for the four-course dinner, complete with sorbet to cleanse our palates between courses. Although Dan and I were pretty exhausted by this point, the rest of our group was ready to celebrate. Among the highlights:

Fique proposed to Amanda (they were, after all, sitting at the couples table).

Effie tried to get Paul to dance.

Kate and Dan congratulated Jim.

Paul showed us “Magnum” even though the look was not quite ready yet.

Here’s the lovely bride and groom during their cake ceremony:
