the bovas 2012

The kids and I had a blast at our annual visit with our friends Keith and Vicky, and their daughters Sophia and Audrey. Dan had to work the weekend again this year, so Naomi and I drove down together to Connecticut on Saturday morning, stopping once for Bennett's first Happy Meal (not sure how I feel about the milestone, but he was thrilled about the little skateboard toy that came with his meal).

Lucy slept like crap on Saturday night, but we mustered the energy to head to downtown Stamford for the Thanksgiving parade on Sunday. It was by far the most impressive parade I've ever been to - bands and dancers and huge cartoon balloons. Bennett had no idea what half the characters were, but he got a kick out of it nonetheless. Oscar the Grouch floated by, and Bennett said, "it's a green monster!" Clifford floated by, and Bennett said "it's a red doggie!" Kermit the Frog floated by wearing a Santa hat, and Bennett inexplicably said, "it's a snowman!" Naomi was kind enough to let Bennett spend the whole parade on her shoulders... we owe her a massage!

Lucy's reaction to baby Audrey (3 months old) was hysterical. Every time she saw Audy, she'd start kicking her legs, talking up a storm, and try to wrench herself out of our arms so she could lovingly attack the baby. And Audrey totally dug the attention! It was pretty impossible to get a non-blurry picture of these two, mostly because Lucy was bouncing up and down like a crazy person during the whole little shoot.

Bennett's so funny! Love the pictures Jes! Although you might try investing in a camera that can zoom out, then you wouldn't have to do photo mosaics, just sayin :P
