According to my official due date, of course. But we know from last time that due dates--at least for me--seem to mean nothing!
We've been trying to "prepare" Bennett a little bit, which I think doesn't mean much at his age - I think he's too young to fully grasp just how much his world is about to get rocked. But I do think that he'll be a sweet big brother. Bennett seems to have a nurturing instinct - he likes to sing "rockabye baby" to his "baby monster" and help baby monster draw pictures with crayons, and he likes baby monster to watch him do things - dance, draw, play cars, etc. - so I see this as a niche baby sister can fill (e.g., "show your baby sister how you can xyz!") Of course he'll have the typical challenges of any big sibling, sharing attention with a new baby, but we're hopeful (and naive?)!
Today was gorgeous, and we met our friends Marian and Alex for bagels and a morning walk on Willard Beach, then headed home for family naps, and then back outside again for rock throwing and a picnic at Mackworth Island.
