1. Dan turned 29! We had a fun little birthday party for him at the house, complete with a pinata for the kiddos (29 year olds included). All of Bennett's aunts and uncles--Uncle Ty Ty, Aunt Sarah, Aunt Ri Ri, and Uncle Roo--were all in attendance, along with grandparents and the Greenaway clan.
2. We took a mini-vacation to Bar Harbor! Bennett went on his first hike, up Parkman Mountain in Acadia National Park, and Dan had to scramble over a few boulders. It was... exciting. Acadia was gorgeous, peak foliage.
3. Erin and Olivia spent a day with us! I love watching these kids interact.
4. Bennett spent a substantial amount of time in his laundry basket-o-fun! His Grandma Marcy came up with this little trick, and it's been the only way to keep him and his toys contained in one place.
5. I've been working! Okay, not sure that one deserved an exclamation point, but I have been working my reduced 36 hour a week schedule, and it's been going good so far. I have fantastic help; Bennett is in very loving and capable hands with his grandmas and next-door-neighbor nanny, where he is called "Baby Guy" and adored by her 3 and 6 year olds. I've really felt like going back to work in this arrangement was the right choice for me and for our family, and I guess I can't ask for much more.
Next up: Vineyard vacation and Halloween photos! (Oh, and a recipe for pumpkin waffles, lest you think this little website has become nothing but baby pictures.)

I adore these photos!! Oh my gosh how Bennett has grown!! I can't wait for Alex and Bennett to meet!! Geesh! I love his sun hat and the photos of him interacting with the other little child! And I can't believe how well he's sitting up in that basket of toys!!
