baby makes three!

It's big news time! As many of you already know, a little person will be arriving in Albany via stork around May 10th to grow our family from two to three! (That makes me about 11 weeks along, for those who don't feel like counting backwards.)

We found out I was pregnant while living in Maine in September as my uncle Chris and Kim's "downstairs people" in their home on Little John Island, so this baby has been christened "LJ" for his/her fetal life. We were incredibly lucky to be so close to our families when we got the news, to be able to share the news with so many people in-person, and to have my mother and mother-in-law dote on me while I lay ill on the couch many weekends. We're back in Albany now, where I'm lucky to have Dan, who dotes on me while I lie on the couch, praying that energy will return to me someday soon.

In the meantime, here is the first-ever picture of LJ from our sonogram a week ago! You can already make out eyes, a nose, and at least one little armbud. I know what you're thinking - at least one arm? LJ's gonna be a looker!
