pasta (or ellen puts us to work!)

Ellen had the girls over for a day of domesticity a couple of weekends ago, and we spent the afternoon kneading, rolling, filling, and eating homemade pasta. Mariah joined us since she was in town visiting for the weekend, which was especially great because we needed the extra hands after poor Kendra headed home, feeling a bit ill (here's why!). We made regular, black pepper, tomato, spinach, and whole wheat pasta doughs (whew!), and then filled ravioli and tortellini with cheese and butternut squash (adapted from Rowan's frozen baby food).
